The Young Innovators Leadership Program (YILP) is a 10-month internship program aimed to equip the participants with the knowledge and skills to setup and lead an innovation-based startup enterprise.
This extracurricular program is open to incoming sophomore, junior and senior students of the Ateneo de Manila University.
YILP provides plenty of experience-based learning opportunities particularly on how to develop human-centric solutions to real-world problems, how to search, draft and file patents to protect these solutions, and eventually make successful enterprises out of these.
The interns, who will be grouped into multidisciplinary teams of 3-5 members, will each have some leadership roles at various times during the internship.

At the end of the internship, each team able to complete all the required outputs will be awarded a grant of Php 40,000-60,000, depending on the team’s performance, and this will be used for the pursuit of their innovation ideas and start-up initiatives. Furthermore, selected teams will be invited to be incubated in The Blue Nest, Ateneo’s premiere startup incubation program, where they will continue to receive some support and business mentoring to give them even better chances at success.
YILP is designed and hosted by the Ateneo Intellectual Property Office (AIPO), a Platinum Medal awardee of the Innovation Technology Support Office (ITSO) network of the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL).
