During the summit, Ms Malapit, Head of AIPO’s Protection and Education Group, also shared key best practices in building a transformative ITSO. She emphasized three core principles: build the team, train the team, and trust the process—highlighting the importance of strong institutional foundations and continuous capacity development in driving impactful outcomes. By assembling a skilled and aligned team, continuously developing their capacity, and trusting in the established processes, institutions like AIPO can lay strong foundations that drive sustained success and impactful outcomes in supporting innovation and intellectual property.

AIPO continues to drive initiatives that strengthen IP awareness, protection, and capacity-building within and beyond the academic community. Through its programs and partnerships, the office empowers innovators, researchers, and creators by providing accessible support in intellectual property protection and education.

This latest recognition reflects AIPO’s ongoing pursuit of its vision to become the country’s leading university hub for inspiring, protecting, and advancing innovations that deliver meaningful benefits to society.
