AIPO, Accenture, and MEA Launch “JUMPSTART THE FUTURE”

The Ateneo Intellectual Property Office (AIPO), Ateneo Management Engineering Association (MEA), and Accenture Ventures Philippines launched: “JUMPSTART THE FUTURE: An Innovation for Society Case Competition''. Eligible contestants will be asked to choose a problem statement or focus area where they will be working their case on and attend mentorship sessions to fully optimize them.
During the case launch last April 5, 2022, the three organizations presented what the focus of this year’s case competition was all about; which is innovation and creating impactful ideas for a better future. When talking about societal impact, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are the perfect blueprint to achieve this. They address the global challenges we face, including poverty, inequality, climate change, environmental degradation, peace and justice1. The challenge is to build a future by constructing a startup dedicated to tackling an SDG.
As an additional spark plug to the startup journey of the participants, the AIPO has given optional focus areas currently being tackled by existing startups. Namely, search and recovery operations, electricity consumption monitoring, and deaf learning experience.
Winners of the competition will get the following prizes:
1st Placer - ₱15,000 + Accenture Internship (for all members) + AIPO Incubation Sponsorship*
2nd Placer - ₱10,000 + Possible AIPO Incubation Sponsorship
3rd Placer - ₱5,000 + Possible AIPO Incubation Sponsorship
*AIPO Incubation Sponsorship will cover the certain costs to help bring your idea/startup to life
Who can join? Students from any level and course within the ADMU may apply. They may form groups of 3-5 members or sign-up individually and the organizers will assign them to a team of 3-5 members.
