The Ateneo Intellectual Property Office (AIPO), represented by Engr. April Joy Haro, participated in the “Rambak Ti Siyensya”, 2023 Regional Science, Technology, and Innovation Week (RSTW) on October 16-18, 2023. This much-anticipated event witnessed the convergence of distinguished guests, prominent leaders, and notable figures across Region 1 and in the field of science, technology and innovation, under the patronage of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) to take part in the RSTW held at the Ilocos Norte Centennial Arena.
It has been an opportunity for AIPO to once again, assist two of its start-ups, EAL Technologies, Inc. and Technocrafts, in showcasing their technologies, the portable water treatment device and the unsinkable water rescue boat, of which the latter was immediately adopted by the local government of Laoag, Ilocos Norte.

Alongside the exhibits, Engr. Haro also got in touch with other universities in Region 1 such as the Pangasinan State University,Mariano Marcos State University, and Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University and discussed how each institution’s strengths and areas for improvement could be leveraged to promote collaboration.

Overall, the RSTW 2023 served as a testament to the region's dedication to science, technology, and innovation and its commitment to a future filled with innovation, opportunities, progress for the people and the society - a vision of which AIPO also shares with.
