AIPO Hosts Skilio Workshop: Exploring Global Career Paths


On April 2, 2024, more than 50 students gathered for the Skilio Workshop: International Opportunities, at Room 101, Faber Hall, Ateneo de Manila University. The event, organized by the Ateneo Intellectual Property Office (AIPO) in partnership with Skilio, aimed to guide Ateneans towards international career possibilities.


Mr. Tan Jia Song Felix, co-founder and CEO of Skilio, engaged the audience with valuable insights into different types of international jobs and how to pursue them effectively. He also shared practical tips and attitudes tailored for each stage of the job search process, empowering attendees with a deeper understanding of global career opportunities.

In his closing remarks, Mr. George “GQ” Quitoriano, resident entrepreneur at the Ateneo Blue Nest incubation program of the AIPO, reiterated the central theme of the workshop, encouraging Ateneans to embrace their potential and their global capacity. The workshop not only provided knowledge but also inspired students to explore opportunities beyond their borders.


The event was organized by AIPO in partnership with Skilio as part of their collaboration for Tech Xperience Singapore, an 8-day international tech trip designed to expose Ateneans to the world of international tech startups, promising to unlock the doors to a world of innovation and technopreneurship, and expanding their global horizon.

The workshop highlighted the importance of equipping young talents with the skills and mindset needed to succeed in today's globally connected corporate world. Participants left the workshop feeling confident and prepared for the challenges of the international job market. Through initiatives like the Skilio Workshop, Ateneo continues to prepare students to make a positive impact on the global stage.
