Over 300 participants representing various institutions recently gathered for a Trademark Awareness Session, organized by the Ateneo Intellectual Property Office (AIPO). The webinar took place on February 27, 2024, via Zoom, offering attendees the opportunity to delve into the intricacies of trademark protection.

The webinar featured Dr Kenny Bayudan, Senior IP Specialist from the IP Academy of the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL), as the distinguished speaker. With his extensive expertise in intellectual property matters, Dr Bayudan provided invaluable insights into the importance of trademarks and their role in safeguarding innovations.Â
Throughout the session, participants gained a deeper understanding of trademarks and their related rights, learned about the registration process, and learned other important principles in trademark maintenance and renewal.
