Leading through Decision Making

Decision-making is the process of choosing the best action from multiple choices to reach a goal. Businesses need to develop it to improve efficiency, drive growth, and reduce risks.

Cities is a strategic, tile-laying and drafting game where players design and build their own urban landscapes by selecting city tiles, buildings, and features to create the most efficient and high-scoring layout. Over multiple rounds, you’ll carefully construct a compact city grid while competing with others for the best resources and opportunities.
What makes Cities so engaging is its focus on planning, prioritization, and decision-making under pressure. Every turn presents meaningful choices, and players must evaluate trade-offs, anticipate opponents’ moves, and select the best possible options from limited selections. You’ll need to think ahead, adapt to changing availability, and strategically align your decisions with both personal and shared objectives. Through this experience, you’ll develop your leadership and innovation skills by optimizing systems, managing constraints, and executing well-planned strategies in a competitive environment.

Because the board is visible to everyone and choices are limited each turn, players also practice anticipating what options will remain available later, a core skill in long-range business planning.
