AIPO Joins IPOPHL’s 3rd Advanced IP Licensing Training Course

On November 28-29 and December 2-3, 2024, Madielaine Fatallo and Lorenzo Tiongson from the Ateneo Intellectual Property Office (AIPO) had the privilege of participating in the 3rd Advanced Intellectual Property Licensing Course. The event was organized by the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) through the IP Academy, in partnership with the Licensing Executives Society Philippines (LESP) and in collaboration with Quisumbing Torres.

Held at the Quisumbing Torres offices in One NEO Building, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City, the four-day intensive training brought together professionals from various sectors—academe, government, and private industry—to enhance their expertise in intellectual property licensing. The program catered to legal, management, and technical professionals, equipping them with advanced skills and knowledge to commercialize valuable IP assets effectively through licensing strategies.

For AIPO, the opportunity to participate in this advanced course aligns with its mission to foster innovation and IP commercialization within the Ateneo community and beyond. By developing a deeper understanding of licensing strategies, AIPO aims to strengthen its support for researchers, startups, and industry partners, empowering them to unlock the full potential of their intellectual property.

The 3rd Advanced Intellectual Property Licensing Course was not only an educational experience but also a platform for networking and collaboration, fostering stronger connections among the participants and the broader IP community. AIPO looks forward to applying the knowledge gained from this program to drive meaningful outcomes for its stakeholders and contribute to the thriving innovation ecosystem in the Philippines.
