Ideas Have Value: AIPO Takes Innovation to WOCEE 2026

The Ateneo Intellectual Property Office (AIPO) joined innovators, technology companies, entrepreneurs, and industry stakeholders at the recently concluded World of Consumer Electronics Expo (WOCEE) 2026 last August 5-8, 2026, showcasing Ateneo’s initiatives in intellectual property, innovation, and technology commercialization.
AIPO participated in the exhibition together with some of its supported startups and incubatees, including WIKA MEDIA–an inclusive accessibility tech startup–providing them with an opportunity to introduce their technologies, products, and innovative solutions to a wider audience. The exhibit also served as a platform for AIPO to engage with entrepreneurs, researchers, businesses, and potential partners interested in intellectual property protection, commercialization, and innovation support.
“Ideas Have Value”: Bringing Intellectual Property Closer to Innovators
One of the highlights of AIPO’s participation was a special talk by Dr. Proceso “Jon” Fernandez, Jr., Director of the Ateneo Intellectual Property Office, entitled “Ideas Have Value.”
Through his presentation, Dr. Fernandez introduced the fundamentals of intellectual property and emphasized the importance of understanding how ideas, creative works, inventions, brands, and other innovations can be protected and transformed into valuable assets.
The session sought to make intellectual property more accessible to innovators and entrepreneurs by highlighting how IP can play an important role in protecting innovation, strengthening businesses, and creating opportunities for commercialization.
Creating More Opportunities for Ateneo Innovators
AIPO’s participation in WOCEE 2026 was made possible through its partnership with Keepital, which provided an opportunity for AIPO and its incubatees to take part in one of the country’s major exhibitions for technology and innovation.

The collaboration reflects AIPO’s continuing efforts to build connections between the university’s innovation community and industry. Through platforms such as WOCEE, Ateneo innovators gain opportunities to present their work beyond the university, engage potential partners and customers, and explore pathways toward commercialization.
AIPO extends its appreciation to Keepital for the partnership and for enabling the Office and its incubatees to participate in this year’s event.
Turn Your Ideas Into Valuable Assets
Beyond the exhibition, AIPO continues to support students, faculty members, researchers, startups, entrepreneurs, and organizations throughout the innovation journey—from developing ideas and protecting intellectual property to exploring commercialization and incubation opportunities.
Whether you are working on an invention, creative work, brand, research output, technology, or startup, AIPO offers services and programs designed to help you determine the next steps for your innovation.

Excellent event summary! It is inspiring to see AIPO bring university‑born innovation and IP education to WOCEE 2026. Giving Ateneo‑supported startups visibility at this large‑scale expo creates such important industry‑linking opportunities. The “Ideas Have Value” message perfectly highlights why IP protection matters for early‑stage creators and entrepreneurs. Great work from the whole AIPO team and thanks to Keepital for the partnership! --recordly
When I look at AIPO being at WOCEE 2026, it feels motivating to me. To me, it suggests that fresh ideas can turn into real results, not just theory, and it can open doors for people. The phrase Australian book publisher also matters here. It can help pass along stories that connect with innovation, research, and starting new ventures. I also think events like WOCEE push students to try new ways of thinking. They make you look closer at technology and remind you that original ideas have real worth.
Been using Nano Banana Pro for AI image generation recently. The Pro version handles more complex prompts and delivers sharper results — still powered by Gemini under the hood. Great for concept art and style experiments without any local setup.
This article does a great job showing how intellectual property can help turn promising ideas into meaningful opportunities. I especially appreciated the focus on connecting innovators, research, businesses, and commercialization. I recently came across a related discussion on Databricks Managed Services, which offered an interesting perspective on innovation and creative work. AIPO’s participation at WOCEE clearly demonstrates the value of collaboration.
I appreciate the emphasis on protecting creative works, inventions, brands, and other forms of innovation. It is encouraging to see how proper IP knowledge can help businesses grow while creating opportunities for commercialization. Even EaglerCraft reminds me how creative ideas can develop into engaging projects, and I believe protecting innovation is an important part of that journey.
