WELCOMING AIPO's Acting Director for SY 2024-2025

The Ateneo Intellectual Property Office (AIPO) is delighted to welcome its Acting Director for SY 2024-2025, John Luis Lagdameo, Ph.D.


Dr. Lagdameo is a distinguished academic and professional leader with an impressive educational background, holding a Bachelor of Science in Management Engineering from Ateneo de Manila University, a Master’s in Entrepreneurship from the Asian Institute of Management (AIM), and a Doctor of Philosophy in Leadership Studies from Ateneo de Manila University. Currently, Dr. Lagdameo serves as a Partner Strategist at Firesprings Consulting, Inc., where he provides strategic insights to various consulting initiatives. He is also the Department Chair of the Leadership and Strategy Department at the John Gokongwei School of Management. His extensive experience includes serving as the former Director of the Office of International Relations (OIR) and holding positions on the management advisory boards of the Ateneo Center for Organizational Development, Impact Hub Manila, Ateneo Center for Social Entrepreneurship, and the National Entrepreneurship Educators of the Philippines (NEEP).


Dr. Lagdameo’s illustrious career also includes his role as the former Director of the John Gokongwei School of Management Business Resource Center, where he collaborated with notable corporations such as Mitsubishi Corporation, Aboitiz Corporation, and the Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI). In addition to his demonstrated experience in administrative roles, he also imparts his expertise as a full-time teacher at Ateneo de Manila University, teaching subjects in Ideation and Innovation, Enterprise Development/Entrepreneurship, International Business Opportunities, and Research, solidifying his distinguished standing in academia and business strategy.


Dr. Lagdameo will be serving as AIPO’s Acting Director while Dr. Proceso “Jon” Fernandez, Jr. takes a year-long sabbatical leave from June 01, 2024, to May 31, 2025.

We eagerly look forward to Dr. Lagdameo’s contributions to AIPO and the continued advancement of our mission in promoting nation-building through the provision of strong support for the ideation, protection, and commercialization of sustainable and innovative works that solve society's challenges.
