The Ateneo Intellectual Property Office (AIPO) congratulates Mr. Elijah Paul Luna, who recently received his degree in Bachelor of Science in Chemistry (cum laude) from the Ateneo de Manila University during its Commencement Exercises held on August 27, 2022.
Elijah is currently finishing his second degree, Bachelor of Science in Material Science from the Ateneo, and is a part of AIPO’s Young Innovators Leadership Program (YILP) 2022 cohort.
The YILP is a 10-month internship program open to incoming sophomore, junior, and senior students of the Ateneo, that provides plenty of experience-based learning opportunities, particularly on how to develop human-centric solutions to real-world problems, how to search, draft and file patents to protect these solutions, and eventually make successful enterprises out of these.
As a student intern at the office, Elijah has been introduced to various learning opportunities and experiences related to intellectual property ideation, protection, and commercialization. As he finishes the YILP program on April 2023, the AIPO is expecting that Elijah will be equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to become part of the next generation of technopreneurs.
